What is the Luma Automatic Water Supply System?
Circuit water does not mix with the mains; protection is an EN 12729 type BA check valve.
Automatic water top-up
Automation connects to the BMS via RS485 (MODBUS) and dry contacts. 3-inch HD touchscreen runs Tanpera R&D software. For healthy operation, booster pressure must be 1 bar above plant pressure.
Key Features
- Automatically replenishes lost water when pressure falls and holds plant pressure.
- EN 12729 type BA check valve prevents circuit water mixing into the mains.
- Flow meter, RS485 MODBUS and dry contacts; wall-mounted compact cabinet.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Luma Automatic Water Supply System is a packaged unit that automatically tops up a heating or cooling circuit when pressure falls. A pressure sensor opens a solenoid valve until the set pressure is reached. An EN 12729 type BA check valve stops circuit water mixing into the mains.
Pressure is monitored continuously; no operator action is required. The flow meter records added volume so losses can be tracked. Holding pressure reduces the risk of sudden interruption and plant damage.
It is used on building and industrial heating and cooling circuits. The brochure lists shopping centres, dormitories, hospitals, factories, hotels, housing and civic plants.
Circuit water must not mix with the mains. Luma provides that separation with an EN 12729 type BA check valve. Make-up water quality is assessed separately in the project design.
Booster operating pressure must be 1 bar above plant pressure. Setpoints are entered on the 4.3-inch touchscreen to match the project pressure.
Annual inspection of valves, strainer, check valve and flow meter is recommended. Follow the schedule in the user manual.
