Tank Suction Heat Exchanger
TANPERA TGB Series Tank Suction Heat Exchangers are designed to facilitate the transfer of liquids stored at low temperature or that solidify. They heat the liquid before pumping by reducing its viscosity. Widely used in chemical, food, and storage facilities.

One fluid flows in the tube bundle, the other on the shell side. The Tanpera TGB series includes fixed-tubesheet, removable-bundle (floating-head) and U-tube types.
A U-tube unit has a U-bent, removable bundle. Counterflow uses less area. It is preferred for high temperature difference and frequent cleaning or bundle renewal.
Tube, shell and tubesheet can be AISI 316, AISI 304, titanium, duplex, 904L, SMO or carbon steel. Gaskets are graphite, EPDM, NBR or spiral-wound. Selection follows fluid, temperature and corrosion.
The brochure lists chemical, petrochemical, food, marine, metallurgy, energy, paper, refrigeration, distillation, sugar, wastewater and biogas. Steam condenser, steam generator, gas cooling, tank suction, exhaust-gas and double-pipe duties sit in the same TGB family.
Exhaust-gas (waste-heat) units take hot water from high-temperature flue gas. Below about 130 °C on natural gas, condensation needs AISI 316; with H2S fuels below 130 °C, sulphuric acid risk needs a higher alloy.
Flows, inlet/outlet temperatures, phase (steam/condensate), operating pressure, fouling and material limits. Coding example TGB 2000 / 585 / 241 — length / diameter / tube count.
On U-tube and floating-head types the bundle is withdrawn for mechanical or chemical cleaning. Fixed-tubesheet tubes can be cleaned from both ends. Interval follows fluid fouling.
