Kombox
Compressor Waste Heat Recovery System

Air compressors are used to produce compressed air in almost all industrial plants. Compressed air has an important place in industrial plants to realize production. While performing this important function, air compressors are very inefficient machines compared to electricity consumption. In return for the useful work they do, they throw 95% of the energy they consume into the atmosphere as waste heat. This waste heat is discharged into the atmosphere by cooling the lubrication systems of the mechanical equipment used to compress and pressurize the air.

Description

Kombox Compressor Waste Heat Recovery System What is it?

Air compressors used in industry release 95% of the energy consumed during their operation to the atmosphere as waste heat. This heat is usually discharged into the atmosphere through the lubrication systems or cooling systems of mechanical equipment. However, with the right system, it can be converted into reusable energy.

Compressor Waste Heat Recovery System provides hot water production by recovering this waste energy. The Brazed Type Plate Heat Exchanger in the system makes the water heated by the compressor oil available in the secondary circuit. When operated at full load, approximately 90% of the electrical energy consumed by the compressor can be converted into useful energy.

In this way, the recovered heat can be utilized in the heating systems of facilities, domestic hot water production or other industrial applications.

Working Principle

Kombox is a system that recovers the waste heat generated during the operation of air compressors and converts it into hot water. The heated oil produced by the compressor passes through the Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger and transfers heat to the water in the secondary circuit and brings the water to the desired temperature. Thus, approximately 90% of the energy consumed by the compressor is recovered for hot water production. This hot water can be used in the heating systems of the facilities, as process water or in the production of domestic hot water, saving energy and reducing carbon emissions.
